Data Protection Directive

Directive 95/46/EC, “The Data Protection Directive,” is a European Union (EU) directive that regulates the processing of personal data within the EU.

It aims to protect the privacy and personal data of EU citizens, and applies to any organization that operates in the EU or processes the personal data of EU citizens.

The Directive requires organizations to notify individuals when their personal data is collected, how the data is used, ensure the security of the data, and provide people with the opportunity to access their personal data and correct any inaccuracies.
