Malware

Malicious software, or malware, is any software program or code that is designed to harm or exploit computer systems, networks, or devices without the user's consent or knowledge.

Malware can take many different forms, including viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, ransomware, and adware. Malware can be distributed through various means, such as infected email attachments, downloaded files, or malicious websites.

Once installed on a device, malware can perform a variety of malicious actions, such as:

  • Stealing personal or sensitive information, such as passwords, credit card numbers, or personal identity information
  • Modifying or deleting files or data on the device or network
  • Hijacking the device
